About Wages Calculator
Wages Calculator is a simple pay comparison tool published by Piratechs. It helps make the relationship between a rate, a schedule, and annual income easier to understand.
A practical comparison tool
Use the calculator to compare an hourly offer with a salary, explore the effect of fewer paid weeks, or translate annual pay into an average month. You can enter either hourly pay or annual salary and adjust your schedule without creating an account.

How the numbers are produced
- Hourly income is rate × weekly hours × paid weeks. Annual salary is used directly when salary was the last pay field edited.
- Monthly income is annual income divided by 12. Weekly and daily values use the paid schedule you enter.
- The take-home estimate subtracts one user-entered percentage. There are no tax tables, automatic overtime premiums, or currency conversions.
- All money is formatted in U.S. dollars. Calculations retain precision; displayed amounts are rounded to cents.
The hourly pay guide → and take-home explanation → show worked examples and describe the limits of these methods.
Designed for quick, private comparisons
Income inputs and your appearance preference are saved locally when browser storage is available. There is no calculator account or cross-device synchronization. Read the privacy policy → for details about local storage, hosting, and optional third-party services.
